Here’s how we spent our three days in Amsterdam our first time there. There is SO much to see and do in Amsterdam, but three days is surprisingly a decent amount of time to cover most of it. The city is so small and has a great public transport system to get you everywhere you need to go.
These are more unique places to eat in Amsterdam that you should check out at least once during your visit. I found these when I was there for a few days, and I would go back to in a heart beat.

One of our must-dos while in Amsterdam was to bike to see an iconic Dutch windmill. We didn’t like any of the organized tours offered, so instead figured out our own way to bike to a windmill from Amsterdam!
It’s surprisingly not far, and very doable on your own. From the city centre, it’s only about a 20-minute ride to the first windmill along a very easy to bike path.
